Station Churches

Station Churches are an ancient tradition going back to the early Church in Rome. Basically the Pope would visit different churches in Rome during the period of Lent to promote unity among the Church and visit his faithful. This tradition continues today as seminarians at the NAC as well as other seminarians, religious, and lay people gather to celebrate Mass each day of Lent in a different station church, most going back over a thousand years.
