"I'm Pope Benedict XVI, and I approved this message."

We would all be honored if the Holy Father had actually said that about our humble blog. As it is though, he is encouraging all young people to take advantage of the internet and other modern communication technology in order to spread the Gospel. Speaking of which, I would like to take this opportunity to bring your attention to the west coast Walk for Life which will take place tomorrow, January 24, in San Francisco. It's currently pouring rain here in the Bay Area, but we seminarians of St. Patrick's Seminary will all be there in our clerics, rain or shine! I'm not very good with technology, so perhaps one of my photographer co-bloggers could post pictures after we get home tomorrow?

I strongly urge all Catholics and other people of good will to join us tomorrow if you are able. The pro-life cause will be in a hostile political climate for the next four years at least. But we must remain committed to the eradication of the evil of abortion in season and out of season. If you cannot be there, please keep us in your prayers. It's a difficult fight, but it is one in which Catholics - particularly we seminarians and future priests - cannot afford to lay down our arms. Defeat the abortion industry and restore a culture of life? Yes we can!
